Research and Evaluation Network: Developmental Evaluation: adapting in complex, emerging and dynamic situations
Developmental Evaluation emerged from a need to support real-time learning in complex, emerging and dynamic situations.
In this introductory session, Zoe Enticott (Principal Consultant, Clear Horizons) will explain the key features of Developmental Evaluation, how it differs from traditional approaches, when and how to apply a developmental approach, and some key considerations for embedding evaluative thinking and strategic learning into your work.
Zoe will share examples based on her experience conducting Developmental Evaluations for various government, community and not for profit organisations and you’ll have a chance to discuss and ask questions.
Community service staff will leave this session with a better understanding of Developmental Evaluation theory and practice and some tools and methods that support real-time learning and improvement
