I’ve put my hand up to be a Treasurer or Secretary – what do I need to know?

Registration is closed for this event
The Treasurer and Secretary are two distinct and essential governance roles.

Complementing the role of the Chair/President, they provide the crucial documentation and expertise required for the board or management committee to make sound financial decisions, and to ensure agreed actions are appropriately documented and reviewed. Both roles require the preparation of official organisational documents, and the responsibility of lodging specific reports to various authorities.

This webinar will provide an overview of the role of both the Treasurer and the Secretary, and will cover:
•    skills and attributes required for the roles
•    documents you are responsible for
•    quality and compliance responsibilities
•    useful resources

Note: In acknowledgement of the particular challenges that rural, remote, and small organisations have, participants representing these organisations will be prioritised. Registration numbers are capped to ensure a conversational workshop can be hosted, and the workshop will not be recorded.
