Community Data Profiles

These Community Data Profiles provide an overview of selected indicators that align with the QCOSS policy focus areas of: Housing, Youth Justice, Living Affordability, Women’s Equality, Children and Young People and Community Services.

The data relates to communities involved in QCOSS Town Hall events held through from August-October 2023, in the following locations: Toowoomba, Logan, Gympie, Townsville, Rockhampton, Brisbane, Mount Isa, Mackay, Moreton Bay and Cairns. Data profiles are made available for other additional Local Government Areas and areas of interest, informed by feedback received from community services. Data is presented at a localised level where possible, dependant on data availability and access.

Data profiles are made available for the sector to access and use for the purpose of service planning, research, and informing the evidence base for policy and grant writing applications. The profiles should be used to complement additional existing datasets identified by community organisations at the local level, in addition to organisation data assets that community organisations themselves collect and analyse.

Data included in the profiles are considered current at the time the profiles were created (as of June 2023). QCOSS’ Research and Policy team can be contacted to provide access to updated data over time. Alternatively, new data can be extracted directly from accessing the data sources referenced within the profiles.
